Getonmessage.com Application Prototype
Get On Message is a communications management platform founded by Sanji Alwis, aimed at enhancing the clarity and resonance of verbal communication. Its initial target users are political campaigns and impact organizational communications managers.
I joined Sanji during the company's inception to help develop the product prototype. He began with a problem: how to create a hybrid software and service business to improve the messaging of mission-driven organizations.
My Contribution:
Original product wireframes and sketches
Rapid click-based product prototype
Fully-functional, code-based prototype
Product Prototype
I designed the product UI in code, allowing Sanji to demonstrate it on-the-fly in a browser to potential customers and users. This approach increased the fidelity of feedback we received from prospects and enabled us to deploy updates iteratively, refining the product to better meet customer needs.
Original Wire-frames
The first artifacts that Sanji brought to potential product user personas were wire-frames.
Prototyping on Airtable
We were able to move very quickly because early on in our development cycle, I built a product prototype on top of Airtable. This allowed Sanji to update/edit any of the product’s content on-the-fly before bringing the product to potential customers/users, without needing any design or development support.
